CUDDEBACKVILLE FIRE/RESCUE MISSION STATEMENT
The Cuddebackville Fire Department was formed in 1945 and is a 100% volunteer department, located in the Town of Deerpark, Orange County, NY and also covers a portion of the Town of Forestburg, Sullivan County, NY, covering a total of 75 square miles, split with 55 square miles in Orange County and 20 square miles in our Sullivan County protection district. The membership trains continually to respond to all types of fire related calls including automatic fire alarms, carbon monoxide emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, search and rescue operations, various types of rescue operations, provide emergency medical services for the residents and visitors of the Cuddebackville Fire District, we also provide mutual aid assistance to the surrounding fire departments as needed.
Operating with seven (7) pieces of apparatus, consisting of one mini-pumper, a tanker, a rescue/pumper, a full size engine, a utility vehicle(Kubota), and a Ford SUV for medical calls and a utility trailer for command operations and brush fire operations, the department carries out all functions listed above to the fullest ability of each member when called upon by the residents of the fire district.
CUDDEBACKVILLE FIRE DISTRICT MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Cuddebackville Fire District is to enhance public safety of all residents and visitors of our district. It is out main objective as first responders to provide the proper emergency service to those in need.
Our mission as the Board of Fire Commissioners are to provide the necessary equipment, safe working conditions and meet all legal demands that will keep our volunteers safe as they conduct a service to the community.
All our responsibilities shall oversee the implementation of annual training and maintain all operating practices. It is our duty as Board Members to strive for continual improvement always and encourage our volunteers to do the same.
The Board of Fire Commissioners are publicly elected officials working for the taxpayers of the district. Expectations are high and we will continue to demonstrate respect, teamwork and loyalty towards out community.
