About us

Cuddebackville Fire / Rescue is a fire department that also provides emergency medical services to the residents and visitors in the Town of Deerpark, Orange County, NY. The department was established in 1945 and we continue to serve the community with pride. We cover approximately 70 square miles, this does include a small section of Sullivan County that is contracted to us for emergency services. We provide numerous different services for the residents and visitors to our community, such as fire suppression, emergency medical service, water rescue, rope rescue, vehicle rescue. To carry out these service we run 6 apparatus, which include a SUV for medical services, a custom rescue/pumper for fire suppression and multiple types of rescue, a mini pumper for fire suppression of brush fires, and a pumper tanker for fire suppression, a Dodge pick-up truck used for fire police operations, there is also a Polaris that is used for brush fire suppression. In recent years we have upgraded our capability of running an incident at a fire scene with three chiefs vehicles allowing the fire chiefs better radio communications.

In addition to helping the community in their time of need, we also hold many different types of fundraising through out the year. these will be posted on the events calendar.
